Sydney rapper Tasman Keith and Darwin singer-songwriter Stevie Jean have partnered on a new collaborative EP ‘Evenings’; a project dripping with attitude, charisma and the undeniable chemistry of two of Australia’s best talents on parallel trajectories.

Tasman Keith is Australia’s next great MC. The son of Indigenous hip-hop pioneer Wire MC, Tasman continues the great traditions of his people by telling stories through music with his breakthrough solo EP in 2018 telling the story of his home, the Bowraville Mission where Indigenous Australians were sent during the colonisation of the country over the last two centuries.

Stevie Jean is Cypriot-Australian whose life and music has been shaped by the sun-burnt land of the Northern Territory and the people of regional Australia. A powerful and defiant woman, she uses her voice to stand up for those who are outcast, a voice that first emerged when her single Hell in Every Religion was picked up by Australian national youth radio network triple j.

'Evenings' is put together from top to bottom as a concept project exploring the narrative of two individuals who come together for one night and all the emotions that surround the encounter.

Tasman and Stevie's attitudes orbit each other through the project, there's clashes of ego and moments of connection. Every track is something unique and special, none more so than Prey; a powerful urban anthem that has already taken their home country by storm as one of the most played homegrown urban hits of the year on Australian alternatively radio and nearly a million streams across platforms.
